Services
Early Intervention
Early intervention through WV Birth to Three is a “system of services and supports for children under age three who have a delay in their development, or may be at risk of having a delay.”
Anyone can make a referral to have their child assessed.
Birth to Three is free to those who qualify and offers services from many different disciplines. You will meet with a service coordinator to discuss concerns and select a team. The team chosen will work closely with you to develop a family-centered plan geared towards helping your child achieve new skills while also supporting you during your daily routines.
Developmental Screening and Consultation
The team at Alliance Therapy offers a free 30 minute consultation to discuss any concerns you have related to your child’s development. Your therapist will go over developmental milestones and daily routines to get more information about your child and provide you with recommendations as far as seeking continued care through available services within your community or accessing resources that may be available to you.
Our goal is to empower you to make decisions that will best meet your individual needs!
Formal Evaluation and Treatment
Alliance Therapy presently offers private occupational therapy services tailored to your child and family’s needs. Your therapist will schedule an initial evaluation to formally assess your child’s skills and discuss any concerns that you may have.
Evaluations start at $100 for up to 90 minutes. Should you choose to begin services, a plan of care will be developed with you to set forth goals as well as frequency of service.
45 minute treatment sessions are $50.
60 minute treatment sessions are $60.
Additional services and treatment options may be available at the discretion of your therapist.
“Play is often talked about as if it were relief from serious learning. But for children play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood.” - Fred Rogers
Occupational Therapy Services
Our team is here to address any concerns you may related to your child’s development. Traditionally, occupational therapists work to help clients achieve independence with daily living. For children, this is primarily related to play. Our therapists have experience with treatment for diagnoses such as autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, brain injuries, cortical visual impairment (CVI), genetic conditions, and neonatal abstinence syndrome (NAS / intrauterine substance exposure).
Our team has completed additional trainings related to feeding, development of motor skills, sensory processing, and attachment and behavior. We are familiar with the diagnosis and treatment of tethered oral tissues (TOTS / tongue, lip, or cheeks ties), have additional certifications from the AEIOU responsive feeding approach and Beckman Oral Motor Protocol, as well as an ARFID Masterclass training that focuses on feeding challenges related to avoidant and restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID). We have licensed infant massage coaches as well as therapists trained in the use and application of kinesiotape for pediatrics.
We feel very strongly about linking our families with the appropriate support to help them reach their goals. If your or your child have additional needs or concerns that would not be adequately addressed by a member of our team, we will work with you to help you find the best option for your care!
