Welcome to Alliance Therapy
Alliance Therapy, LLC was established in 2017 by occupational therapist, Kayla Rorrer. The company was founded with the intention to unite individuals to serve our community and its most vulnerable population. Kayla grew up very familiar with the world of disabilities, and following her graduation from West Virginia University, she decided to embark on a journey to create community and solidarity for those navigating the world of raising and caring for a child with a developmental difference.
In January of 2022, Alliance Therapy added its first occupational therapy assistant. A few months later, a developmental specialist joined the company. Since then, the organization has added other occupational therapists, COTAs, and a speech therapist. Each individual added to this team has brought kindness and compassion, as well as their own experience and desire to serve children and their families.
As the company has grown, the team has worked to expand its knowledge and build relationships so that we may provide quality, evidence-based care. We value our time with each family and appreciate any opportunity to learn and grow with you!

About the Owner
Kayla Rorrer was born and raised in southern West Virginia. She knew from a young age that she wanted to work with children and enjoyed learning about psychology and child development as well as developmental disabilities. She attended college at West Virginia University and graduated with a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy with a minor in Psychology in 2017.
Kayla met her husband while she was a student at WVU. Following her graduation, they moved to Marietta, OH where she first established her business. She held positions within local hospitals and schools and became certified in early intervention shortly after. Kayla fell in love with the dynamic of serving children in their natural environment and getting to know families on such a personal level. She took steps to grow her caseload and since then, has worked primarily for West Virginia Birth to Three while holding various pediatric positions in schools, clinics, and home-based services throughout the Mid Ohio Valley.
Kayla now lives with her husband and two children in Beverly, OH. As Alliance Therapy has grown and expanded, the company remains to be an Ohio-owned business but does have an office in Parkersburg, WV to meet the needs of employees and clients.
